Some quick introductory hints
It aims to combine: a) a not-for-profit glocal community-driven governance; with b) future-proof decentralised social media technology
Plaz is decentralized, modular and interoperable: its infrastructure connects with external user data, customizable algorithms, content streams, and versatile moderation tools. While capable of communicating with other spaces through the ActivityPub protocol
It aims to jump into the next-generation internet, that decentralizes user data. Plaz implements a Client-to-Storage (C2S) architecture, which means the platform does not store any user data itself. Instead, it retrieves data from external, self-hosted Portable Data Storages (PDSs), unlike traditional platforms/servers that store user data centrally on their infrastructure
The first beta version is expected to be released in November 2026, following the registration of the legal not-for-profit organization and completion of the base technology
